"My entire professional career I've had a camera of some kind in my hands.
Film, video or still camera it didn't matter, I just love capturing the image
on film."

Photography has been David's way of showing others how he saw the
world.  As the commercial photographer for WAPI TV he shot everything
from TV commercials to official portraits, promotional ads and product
layouts, working in both black and white and color and with large and small
format cameras.
Moving from commercial photography to become the first full time television sports photographer in the state
of Alabama and later Chief Photographer for WVTM-TV he was present for some of the most exciting times in
Alabama sports history.  From little league baseball to Coach Bryant's trip to the White House, David covered
it all.  Along with the regular sports he filmed 50+ outdoor features each year on anything wildlife had to
offer.  Being in the woods and on the water had always been a special treat for him and filming nature up
close and personal was a great challenge and gave him much gratification.  David has been on assignments in
South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, England, South America, Mexico, Canada, Central America and much of the
USA.

He has won both the Associated Press and Sigma Delta Chi awards for photography, was a certified SCUBA
diver and Skydiver with over 300 sport parachute jumps in his logbook, has flown helicopters and airplanes
and survived two bouts with throat cancer.

"What once I thought of as a job, I now see was always a passion."
