A native of Birmingham, I have been expressing my creative abilities since childhood. Although
I hold a degree in interior design fr the University of Montevallo, I am a self taught artist
using my knowledge and vision to create pieces of mixed media and collage art. Incorporating
the use of diverse collected materials and layered paint mediums, I produce pieces through a
process beginning with self discovery, sharing my experiences and using my voice as a story
teller. I have also developed a love for creative jewelry design. Every piece of artwork and
every piece of jewelry is very unique and always has my distinctive signature attached. My
work is on display at my studio, Hothouse Design Studio in Birmingham's Lakeview district and
at Willis Gray Gallery in Decatur, AL. I incorporate my passion for the arts into my daily routine
as an award winning floral designer. My accolades include Alabama State Designer of the
Year 2005 as well as the Knud Nielson Alabama Cup Winner 2005. My creative designs can
be seen at both public and private venues across the Southeast.
