Making art is my life, my therapy, my health, and my passion.
When approaching my artwork, I want the viewer to sense that
passion and obtain a connection on some level whether it is
merely appreciation of time and effort or true awe.
Texture is an important quality that can be observed in my
work; the third dimension is an aspect which I cannot seem to
explore enough. When one is witnessing these paintings, it is
the artist's intention to create an enticing texture which strikes
the curiosity of the viewer and provokes him/her to touch the
surface, questioning exactly how it was executed.

Abstracting images is another important concept. As an artist, I find it boring to depict a realistic
image. Let me see something that I never would have seen before, as it there is a secret world inside
the artist's mind that absolutely must be released. Words are not enough to describe this imaginative
world, so it must be created and then viewed. I want to create an image that is new to the viewer and
provide him/her with something that it weren't for me, would have never been seen -- an insight to my
thoughts.
To be able to create something that speaks to another person's experiences, beliefs, or visual appeal,
equals accomplishment. When this occurs, the viewer and I then share something; we share the most
personal aspect of my life. The release of something that I have created, developed, turned into
something beautiful, is my purpose. This way I can give to others what is so dear to me.
