Raeford Liles
Raeford Lile's exhibitions and accomplishments are too many to list here--but he's been included in Who's
Who in International Art and Who's Who in American Art. shown at Birmingham International festival, counts
Nobel Prize-winner Dr. Bill Lipscomb, Megatrends author John Naisbitt and Seaside Developer Robert Davis
as collectors of his work, and has exhibited in cities such as Helsinki, Rome, London, and New York City.
Recently Raeford has been painting practically every night and has also been working on a 1,000-page
autobiography in French, Italian, and German. The book focuses on the "three wonderful women" in his life.
For Liles, being an artist is a calling. "There are really three types of people: vegetables, technicians, and
creators," says Liles. "Unfortunately and fortunately I'm a creator. I'm destined to paint pictures. It's the
only thing I do well. I'll probably die with a paintbrush in my hand."
