Artist Statement
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to fulfill my lifelong dream
of becoming an artist! My husband, Eddie, has been very supportive
of my interest in art and has always encouraged me to do my best.
Mostly self-taught, I continue to learn every day as I paint!
Color and texture inspire me. My artwork is characterized by many
layers of vibrant, rich colors. I love to play with color relationships to
see how they change when next to each other. I have a passion
and appreciation for abstract art but also enjoy the occasional
change to reality. My abstract paintings come from within and are
rarely preplanned. I love to watch as clients find objects, animals
or people that were not intentionally inserted!
Matisse once said, " I like to spread happiness through my paintings." That is why paint!
