Contact: tate164@bellsouth.net My interest in photography started during my high school days. There I was taught the basis of operating a fine camera and how to develop and print black and white photos. At that time color developing and printing had to be done by a professional laboratory. After leaving high school, I did only candid pictures of family and friends for many years. However, about 1995, I again took the hobby of photography seriously. After a few years of studying with local photographers, I started making artist quality prints. I particularly enjoy working with flowers. I also take pictures of charitable events helping them to raise funds for their particular charitable cause. My prints from these events have been printed in the Tuscaloosa News, The Tuscaloosa Magazine, the local, state and national Exchange Club magazines. I have contributed many prints to be sold at the art auctions at these charity events. Presently some of my earlier prints are available at the Harrison Gallery in Tuscaloosa. My training also includes a seminar with William Christenberry -- a world-renowned artist from Tuscaloosa now teaching in Washington, D.C. |
